How to Master the #GoodHairDay Selfie

How to Master the #GoodHairDay Selfie

Locks that'll get you lots of likes

Butt selfies, breastfeeding selfies, and topless selfies have all been done. But lately, it seems like celebs have decided to focus on something different in their self-portraits: their hair. With just a little product or a quick trick, you can follow their lead and recreate different #GoodHairDay looks. L'Oreal Professional artist Jennifer MacDougall shows you how.

The Bed-Head Look
As seen on:
Miranda Kerr
Get the look: "With your fingers, comb the roots of your hair to one side, and tip your head slightly to that same side," says MacDougall. "If you have more time, grab your flat iron, and create a wave on some pieces by sliding it down the hair strand in an S motion."

The Frizzy-Fierce Look
As seen on:
Jennifer Lopez
Get the look: To make sure you don't have too much frizz, MacDougall suggests adding a few drops of oil, such as L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil Nourishing Oil ($32, lorealprofessional.com) to your palm and then dabbing it on to strands to build back moisture without weighing down the hair. If product isn't available, take the selfie and play photo editor later. "Usually frizz is seen on the outside of the hairstyle in photos," says MacDougall. "Crop your photo tighter to eliminate the frizz. Early Bird is a great filter to help diffuse frizz, as well." You'll also want to avoid shooting a photo with backlight, which can make frizz look out-of-control.

The Hat-Head Look
As seen on: Beyoncé
Get the look: Apply just a dab of hand cream to your palms, and coat the flyaway hairs under your hat to tame.
