What a busy few weeks! I bet you are all sick of me saying that… I know I am. I have made a decision today that I may take a break from Monday’s Meals, Wednesday’s Workout and Fitness Friday posts and rather post material when I have it. When I first started the posts they were a was of helping me stay active on my blog however now I find it more restricting as feel I have to post stuff on those days and if I miss it I have to wait until the next week to post it. Don’t worry I will still be posting health and fitne ss blog posts, but they could now be on a Tuesday or Thursday… you will have to check in more often to see when I am posting!
Anyways onto my “Life #5” post. I have been upping my running efforts recently, hence the photo of Matt and I’s trainers and my motivational alarms that wake me up each morning.Who else has little messages such as these to push them out of bed in the morning?
The third photo is of the dinner Matt and I had at the Millstone at Mellor on our 6 year anniversary last month! He spoilt me, as always, and booked me in for a massage after work then we headed to one of my company’s Inns of Character for the most gorgeous three course dinner.
The four photo is of me playing around with my new curling wand.. review coming soon! I have naturally curly hair but as it has grown longer my curls are less tight s o I felt it was about time to invest in a curling iron. I tried it out on a night out in Preston with the girls from work. I definitely did my curls too tight and was channelling a Dianna Ross kind of look but the good news is they lasted all night!
I have had a busy month of meetings and conferences, the up side to these is that I always get to eat fabulous food! I attended the Visit Lancashire conference in Lancaster and ate at Penny Street Bridge before hand (photo number 5).
For Halloween my work went all out! I baked some Halloween cupcakes which went down well, while the girls brought in loads of sweets and cakes and even decorated the office. Not great for the waist line but it was just one day and a great end to my chocolate ban for October, which I succeeded in doing..yeah go me!
I do sat for my mum the other weekend so spent some quality t ime with my gorgeous George puppy. It was great to be up in Cumbria for a couple of days and enjoy the picturesque scenery that I miss so much!
Last week I had a week of presentations and workshops.. again tiring but I do enjoy them! During the week I ate some amazing food; it’s always good to be wine and dined… benefits to working for a hotel chain! I visited The Fleece in Cirencester for the first time, they put on the spectacular spread you can see above. I also visited Kettering Park Hotel and had a beautiful if not very late dinner; they do the most spectacular Tempura Prawns!
Finally last weekend I attended my best friends Charity Night and Fundraiser for a charity that saved her life. She worked so hard putting on the most amazing and fun night and raised money for Rape Crisis Cumbria. A charity which saves many peoples lives across the county. I am forever thankful to this charity as I know without it I would of lost my best friend. After a night full of dancing and wine a run in the beautiful Cumbria countryside was very much needed. I may of got lost but I did a good 4 miles!
Be sure to visit Made In Marylebone, a his and hers blog full of food, fashion and London life. A truly great read!
