As women, we spend an inordinate amount of time obsessing over the "ideal." How our legs supposedly shouldn't touch and our boobs should really be just a bit bigger (not to mention the exact same size).
So to indulge our preoccupation with perfection, E! Online recently conducted a poll that invited readers to vote for the celebrities with the best hair, arms, abs, etc., with the idea being that they would use the winning body parts to create the "perfect female celeb."

E! just shared the results via the above composite Frankenceleb pic—and it's kind of terrifying:
Yes, all of the women that the pic pieces together—Carrie Underwood, Mila Kunis, Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara, Gabrielle Union, Rihanna, and Blake Lively—are gorgeous...but not just for one body part. They are, after all, each living, breathing women. It's incredibly objectifying to piece together women like this, suggesting that if only Mila Kunis got a boob job, Carrie Underwood did some more planks, or you did x, y, and z, then you could all be perfect.

This photo is also evidence that "perfect" body parts might not even look so great together. When we let others decide for us how our bodies "should" look (and trust us, this previous survey on the ideal woman shows there are enough opinions out there to keep you thoroughly confused!), we ignore all that our bodies do for us and forget that the ideal is loving the bodies we already have.
So let's stop perpetuating this idea that there is such a thing as an ideal female body—and make more of an effort to appreciate the perfectly real and functioning bodies we actually have.
