Given the very public ups and downs of Nikki Ferrell and Juan Pablo Galavis’ relationship, it’s not really a shocker that the pair finally called it quits this week. US Weekly confirmed that the controversial reality TV sweethearts are going their separate ways and that the split was initiated by Nikki. While neither reality show star has made an official comment yet, multiple sources have confirmed the split to Us Weekly and People.
What began as a riveting romance on The Bachelor took some pretty rough turns—first, when he didn’t even propose during the season finale (is that allowed?!), and more recently, on VH1’s Couples Therapy, when he still couldn't say, “I love you.” Sure, it seemed for a while that maybe JP just needed a little more time to come to terms with his feelings, but at a certain point, you either feel it or you don’t.
Gossip sites began to speculate about a split when Nikki unfollowed Juan Pablo on Twitter and Facebook over the weekend. Then she posted a pretty self-explanatory quote on Instagram.

She went on to caption the image: "Nope not one single second,” which is a pretty clear message about how she feels post-breakup. The comments by her followers showed a lot of support for Nikki's decision. And come on, it's kind of obvious which side most people will take in this situation.
While it can be excruciating to walk away from someone you love, it's so important to realize when a bond is toxic and bringing you down. The truth is, it's better to be single than stuck in a crappy relationship. If there's one thing their public romance can teach us, it's that you absolutely should trust your gut when it comes to love.
