The good, the bad, and the freaking out

It seems like everyone is committing to the cut these days: Lauren Conrad, famous for her long, blonde locks, just chopped them in favor of an elongated bob—and Jessica Simpson also went under the scissors recently. Sometimes you need a change, but a major haircut can seriously toy with your emotions. If you decide to get more than just a little trim, you can expect do go through the following wild ride:

1. Realization
I should get a haircut. I should cut this all off. Time for a major change.

 

2. Excitement
Everyone's going to freak out when they see me. I'm booking that appointment now.

6. Sadness
The first cut is the deepest.

 

7. Acceptance
Okay. This is going to be all right.
