Let’s Talk About the Strip Tease on The Mindy Project Last Night

Let’s Talk About the Strip Tease on The Mindy Project Last Night

Mindy Kaling, you just get us.

Aside from the glorious scenes in Magic Mike, male strip teases probably make you think of being at a bachelorette party and giving looks of embarrassment to your friends while a male stripper dressed as a police officer grinds up on you.

But The Mindy Project changed that for women everywhere last night during the season premier, when (spoiler alert!) Danny put on a jaw-dropping strip tease for Mindy…after it was revealed that he used to be a stripper named Diamond Dan to pay for med-school. (Best fall premiere so far? We think so.)

It was sexy. It was sensual. It made us wish our guys had that rhythm, those moves, that confidence! THAT TIE! And we weren’t the only ones awestruck. Fans were freaking out on Twitter, probably because this exactly the follow-up we needed to Danny's epic dance to Aaliyah's "Try Again" last season (If you didn't catch that, you can see it here).

Mindy tweeted an incredibly appropriate response:

The last five minutes of #TheMindyProject are why everyone should have their own tv shows #MindyPremiere

And then The Mindy Project's twitter account sent out this gem, which should tide you over until you can watch the full episode again:

RT if you wish that dance would never end. Sweet dreams of #DiamondDan, West Coast! #MindyPremiere #themindyproject http://t.co/iLyiCpYpoC

Short of hiring Diamond Dan’s choreographer, here's how you can perfect your own amazing lap dance (hot-pink thong with rhinestones saying “diamond” not included).
