Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week kicks off in New York City in a couple of days—which means your Facebook feed is about to be flooded with pictures of models wearing the hottest new clothes. While their outfits are clearly the main attraction this week, we're also more than a little interested in how they get such amazing skin—so we got Shelby Nicole, who will be walking down the runway for Athleta's show, to share her top skin-care secrets.
Keep It Natural
Nicole says she does her best to avoid chemicals in her beauty products, which is why she swears by Raw Manuka Honey ($39.99, the Vitamin Shoppe) to keep her skin looking amazing. She applies the honey, which is known for its antibacterial properties, three days a week (she leaves it on for five to 10 minutes before washing it off). Not only does it cleanse and moisturize, thanks to its natural amino acids and vitamins, but Nicole also swears it zaps zits overnight.

Eat Lots of Fruits and Vegetables
Applying vitamins to your skin is only half the battle. Nicole says that one of the best things you can do for your skin is eat a ton of fruits and vegetables, which provide vitamins and minerals that are essential to skin health. Try whipping up a smoothie with avocado (which is rich in vitamin E), or make Nicole's favorite juice: kale, spinach, carrots, celery, and cucumber.

Pay Attention to Your Under-Eyes
Even at 23, Nicole is already thinking about wrinkles and how to keep them at bay. Her secret? Origins Starting Over Eye Cream ($39.50, Origins), which uses fennel seed to smooth wrinkles and keep lids looking rested. The product also contains green algae, which is packed with antioxidants to fight free radicals and toxins.
Say Goodbye to Spots
When Nicole was a teenager, she struggled with acne (see, models are people, too!), leaving her with scarring. After visiting a dermatologist, she discovered her saving grace: Ambi Fade Cream ($6.49, shopambi.com). This cream promises to fade dark marks in as little as two weeks with hydroquinone, which reverses the appearance of melanin (the pigment that causes dark spots).
Use Cleansing Wipes
Clean skin is happy skin. Above all else, Nicole says her secret to great skin is removing any dirt and grime from the skin—meaning, washing sweat off your face post-workout and taking your makeup off at the end of the day. She recommends Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes ($5.99, Ulta), which are super-easy to use on-the-go.

Treat Yourself With a Mask
Masks are an awesome way to supplement your skincare routine, packing an extra punch of look-good ingredients. Nicole loves Lush brand masks like Brazened Honey ($6.95, Lush), a favorite for deep cleansing clay, and Love Lettuce ($6.95, Lush), which “polishes the skin and leaves it smooth and shiny.”
