Build-your-own mimosa bars—in which you arrange an assortment of bubbly, juices, and fruits, then let guests create their own brunch cocktails—are blowing up on Pinterest. It's easy to see why: They're easy to set up, affordable, and just plain fun. The only thing that could make the mimosa bar concept even better? A festive theme—so we set out to create a red, white, and blue mimosa bar that's perfect for brunch this Fourth of July weekend (along with any patriotic occasion, for that matter).
Putting together something Instagram-worthy is almost too easy. You just create a pretty display out of the following items:
- Sparkling wine or champagne
- A red juice, a blue juice, and a clear or white juice. We went with cherry, blueberry, white cranberry, and coconut juice.
- Similarly colored fruits. We used raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, apples, and white peaches to create our spread.
- Fun glasses. "We like to say, 'Think outside of the flute,'" says Jennifer Wall, a Barefoot winemaker. "You can do fun colorful glasses, you can do mason jars, you can do tumblers.
Whatever feels fun and festive and on par with your celebration or party." - Cute decorative elements. These are optional but definitely make everything feel more celebratory.
How fun is this?
