Blackberries often get upstaged by blueberries and strawberries, but they're every bit as amazing this time of year. You can eat them fresh, sure, but we like them even better in smoothies, where they add flavor complexity to more expected ingredients like bananas and leafy greens. What's not to love about a blend of blackberries, banana, and kiwi?
O.D. on berries (in a good way) with this tasty treat; it's made with blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and cherry-flavored yogurt.
The smoothie pictured on the left has just three ingredients: blackberries, lime, and basil. And so clever putting it in an old jelly jar!
Citrus fruits make a great complement to blackberries, as demonstrated by this navel orange-and-blackberry combo.
We're all about layered smoothies these days. This one is made with pureed kiwi on the bottom and pureed blackberry up top.
This blend of strawberries, banana, and blackberries gets some added nutrition from walnuts, hazelnuts, wheat grass, and chia seeds.
A smoothie made from blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, Greek yogurt, and unsweetened almond milk is berry nice (sorry, we had to!).
