8 Quotes from 'The Notebook' That STILL Make You Feel Things

8 Quotes from 'The Notebook' That STILL Make You Feel Things

Oh, Ryan Gosling—we'll never stop loving you.

You're about to feel really old: The film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' bestseller The Notebook is celebrating its 10-year anniversary today! And in honor of Noah and Allie's love story, we've picked our eight favorite moments from the movie. Just try to save the "Awws" for the end.

"I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you every day for a year. It wasn't over… it still isn't over."

A hot make-out session in a torrential downpour? Unsafe, cliché, and totally romantic.

"It's not going to be easy. It's going to be really hard. And we're going to have to work on this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, you and me."

If this wasn't a part of your wedding vows, you're doing it wrong.

"If you're a bird, I'm a bird."

This makes zero sense whatsoever, but we're guessing you didn't care because you were too busy fuming with jealousy that Rachel McAdams jumped in Ryan's arms and planted a smooch on him. Lucky, lucky girl.

"It was real, wasn't it? You and me. Such a long time ago, we were just a couple of kids. But we really loved each other, didn't we?"

This was probably the point where you threw something at your screen and yelled, "YES, YOU DID! YOU BELONG TOGETHER!" What…just us?

"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more; that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds."

Can we all pledge to ditch the endless texts and revert back to pen and paper? Because Noah's handwritten farewell letter to Allie should be framed.

"They didn't agree on much. In fact, they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time—and they challenged each other every day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common: They were crazy about each other."

We're pretty sure every woman longed for this exact romance after hearing this line (and if he looked just like Noah…even better).

"Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?"

*Mic drop* No wonder Ryan became the official man of our dreams after this movie.

"I think our love can do anything we want it to."

Are you crying yet? It's OK, we won't judge.
