Mindy Kaling Shares Her New Get-Healthy Goals

Find out what the star has in mind for her between-seasons break.

Mindy Kaling is our go-to girl for serious laughs—and she's quickly becoming our inspiration for setting realistic healthy goals, too. Recently, she revealed how she really feels about her weight. And then just a few days ago, she posted this relatable message on Instagram:


Now that we are on a little break between seasons I'm going to start my journey to minor self-improvement. I'm going to cook every recipe in @gwynethpaltrow's excellent healthy & yummy cookbook with Miranda and Marissa, I'm going to try not to wear too much makeup (see raccoon eyes above), I'm going to barre class, I'm going to get down to a 9 minute mile, I'm going to work on my book, I'm going to try to go hiking with BJ and Jeremy and try not to complain once, and I'm going to try to spend time with my dad. Also I'm going to watch 12 Years A Slave and not turn it off out of horror. Also I'm not going to buy any clothes.

We love how Mindy's goals are totally achievable—rather than super restrictive or just plain unreachable. And it looks like she's already started working toward them:


I invited Bronson over for lunch from the #itsallgood cookbook so I prepped by making the salad dressing this evening. Making my own salad dressing is something that, last month, I might have said "are you fucking kidding me? Why do I have so much time? Did the show get cancelled?" But I was stupid. This is the BEST salad dressing I've ever tasted and now I want to like, eat salads. (Which I will, this whole week, I think?).

We don't know about you, but we can't wait for more progress reports!
