There's no question that Gwyneth Paltrow has seriously radiant skin, but exactly how she gets that glow has been a mystery—until now. She recently told People.com that her secret is surprisingly simple, and you probably already own it: a washcloth.
"I try to always cleanse my skin and moisturize at night," she said. "I've gotten a lot better at it. I used to just wash my face with a washcloth and water. But now I'm 41, so I need to be a girl and deal with products and put them on and stuff." First of all, Gwyneth Paltrow is 41? And second of all, that minimalist skin-care regimen seems to be working for her! Check out this makeup-free Instagram shot she posted over the weekend for more proof.
So about that washcloth: "I still think a hot washcloth is a really good exfoliator, and I still use it," said Gwyneth. "But I put a cleanser on first. Exfoliation is super important. A hot washcloth and good scrub." How easy is that? So the next time you need a good exfoliator in a pinch, just soak a wet washcloth in some hot water and use it to gently massage your face. We can't guarantee you'll look exactly like Gwyneth, but it'll definitely help give your skin a good—but not abrasive—scrub.
