Here's something your high school sex ed teacher probably didn't cover: Eleven percent of people think HTML is a type of sexually transmitted disease, according to a new survey conducted by the coupon website VoucherCloud.net. (In case you didn't know, it actually stands for HyperText Markup Language, which is used to create Web pages.)
The site questioned 2,392 men and women to see if they could accurately define various tech terms such as USB (a term that applies to certain cables, connectors and communication protocols), MP3 (a type of audio download), and software (a.k.a., computer programs). In case you were curious, some people thought the words referred to a European country, a robot from Star Wars, and comfortable clothing, respectively (oy).
