You put carrots on your salads—but in your smoothies? If you haven't tried it yet, you should: Carrots are filled with fiber and vitamin A, and they may even help prevent against sun damage (although you should still wear sunscreen on the regular for good measure).
Throw them in with your go-to smoothie ingredients to add depth to the drink's flavor—or try one of these tasty-looking #CarrotSmoothies we saw on Instagram this week:
This carrot cake-inspired smoothie tastes like dessert but is actually good for you—it's made with carrots, bananas, unsweetened almond milk, pumpkin pie spice, dates, and coconut cream.
For a more tropical flavor (it'll get you in the mood for bikini season), mix coconut milk, coconut water, frozen strawberries, carrots, medjool dates, coconut meat, vanilla bean, and baobab powder. Then garnish the drink with coconut flakes and strawberry slices.
How delicious does this look? It's a blend of steamed carrots, oranges, cooked sweet potato, fennel bulb, banana, pear, chia, coconut milk, cinnamon, orange zest, and ice. #Yum!
Love the name of this smoothie! To recreate it at home, mix up carrots, apples, banana, avocado, fresh lemon juice, and ginger root, then top with chia seeds.
OK, so this is the second carrot cake-flavored smoothie we're featuring this week—but can you blame us? This drink, made with carrots, bananas, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon, ginger, coconut or soy cream, and dairy-free white chocolate looks amazing.
Love smoothies as much as we do? Tag @WomensHealthmag in your yummiest #ApricotSmoothie photos on Instagram, and we could feature it on our site! Remember to include the entire recipe in your caption, and check back next Wednesday to see if your smoothie made the cut.
