What Men Really Think About Sex on the First Date

In today’s not-totally-shocking news, men are more likely to say oral sex and intercourse are appropriate on a first date, according to a recent study of more than 5,300 singles conducted by Match.com.

In the dating website’s annual “Singles in America” study, 39 percent of men said oral sex is OK on the first night out together, while 37 percent thought intercourse was fine, too. To put that in perspective, less than 10 percent of women said they’re willing to partake in either activity on the first date.

Obviously, you shouldn’t feel pressured to put out on the first rendezvous just because men seem to be more up for it than women are. But if you are in the mood to get frisky after date one, by all means—go for it as long as you’re both down to get dirty (in a safe way, of course).
