Deborah Milano is a new brand to me. I first came across them on Twitter when they were asking for bloggers to review their lipsticks, and being the massive lipstick addict that I am I jumped at the chance.

My lipstick arrived very speedily along with a few extra samples of their foundation range, which was very kind of them. I received the Shine Creator Lipstick* in shade 8 which on their website and in person is  a bright raspberry pink when in the tube. However the colour hasn’t come out well in the pictures above and it doesn’t come out so bright on my lips. Deborah Milano say that this lipstick is a light-weight, luminous lipstick that combines the shine of lip gloss with the comfort of lipstick and the moisturizing properties of lip balm. 

I first tried to swatch my lipstick but it didn't come out very well on my hand because of the moisturizing pigments in it. However when applying it to my lips I was impressed  It glides on with ease and is rather glossy. It took a couple of coats to get the colour on the pictures above so its not the most pigmented lipstick I've tried, however it is pretty good. I definitely agree that it is a 3 in 1 lipstick as it is glossy, adds colour to your lips and is moisturizing. 

Deborah Milano is the number one selling lipstick in Italy and Italians always look gorgeous  so they must be doing something right. I like to wear this shade at the office or during the day because its not so bright and more of a natural look than some of my other more matte and bold colours. Overall I was impressed and would recommend them for day to day wear if you want something that is glossy and natural looking.

Aspirin is a drug known as a no steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and is taken for fever reduction and reducing pain and muscle aches. Many people also take aspirin daily to prevent heart attacks and other cardiac problems.

The drug has also been linked to anti-cancer properties. A Stanford University study in March found regular aspirin use reduced risk for developing melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Studies have also found aspirin may protect against cancers of the liver and colon, and reduce the risk of cancer death.

"If validated in future studies, these findings add to the body of evidence that suggest certain patients with colorectal cancer may greatly improve their odds of survival with an aspirin regimen," he told UAB News.

Specifically, regular aspirin use was associated with a lower risk of colorectal cancers characterized by the "typical" form of BRAF, but not with the risk of colon cancers with mutated forms of BRAF.

These findings suggest that BRAF-mutant colon tumor cells may be less sensitive to the effects of aspirin, according to the study in the June 26 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The researchers also found that taking a higher number of aspirin tablets a week -- more than 14 tablets -- was associated with a lower risk of colorectal cancer with typical BRAF, but this was not seen with BRAF-mutated cancers, according to a journal news release. Source: WebMD.

So a few months ago I treated myself with some birthday money and ordered the Polar FT4. I got mine for about £60 which isn't bad as I think the RRP is about £100. Upon receiving it, I gave it a first go at Kendal Bootcamp Class. The whole process is pretty easy to understand; put the band on round your chest, just underneath your bra strap area, ensuring that the electrodes on the front of it are touching your skin. Then put the watch on, set it up my adding your info such as sex, age, height, weight and when you start your exercise press start twice and off you go.

The first time I put the strap on it was very noticeable, not uncomfortable as its very elasticated, but noticeable, however I persevered and now never feel it when working out. Although I bought the watch to monitor my heart rate and see if I am actually working hard during my workouts of if I'm just slacking, I find the other tools very useful. At the moment I am calorie counting to ensure I am on track and find that knowing how many calories I've burnt in a workout is a great motivator to eat healthy for the rest of the day as I don't want to undo all the hard work I have done. The fat burning zone option is interesting however during bootcamp my heart rate is rarely in this zone as bootcamp is tough! You can very easily scroll through the different displays while working out; your heart rate, your calories burnt, how long you've been working out, whether your in the fat burning zone and the time. I normally keep mine on the heart rate display so I know when I'm warmed up, whether I am working out hard enough, and when I have cooled down.  

The watch and strap are very study, I've accidentally dropped them on the floor a few times, and my watch even survived the wettest bootcamp session I've ever been too! I'm talking ten minutes in the rain and I am soaked to my bone! So it's doing very well.

I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for their first heart rate monitor and take their training seriously. It doesn't have millions of fancy options like GPS like some tracker do, but for a beginners watch it is perfect. I love mine, use it everyday and don't think I need anything more fancy. I couldn't actually imaging working out without it now, as I feel it really motivates me and is a great way to keep my on track and monitor my progress.

So for the next three weeks I am going to share with you my favourite and toughest workouts that target these three areas.

Many, myself included have been left disappointed this week after Lucy Mecklenburgh revealed she is now charging for her workouts on her Results With Lucy website. For those who were disappointed,  I just want to highlight that you don’t need to splash the cash on workouts when there are so many amazing free workout videos on YouTube. I admit there are a million videos on YouTube that are rubbish, whish is why I watch a load of them to find the best one’s out there so that you don’t waste your time on the rubbish ones. So if you want to have access to the best free workouts then subscribe to my YouTube and watch the Wednesday’s Workout Playlist, you won’t regret it!

An example of my recommended daily workout is 30 minutes cardio…. get out there and run… make the most of the sun! Then come home, get your yoga mat out and do two toning workouts. Concentrate on one area a day or two. I tend to pick one 15/20 min workout for my abs, then one 15/20 min workout for my legs and bum. I completed the bottom two on Monday night after a 30 minute run. Overall I did a 1 hour workout, burnt 520 calories and worked my muscles hard… I was definitely aching the next day!

However upon second application it worked better. I wouldn’t say it dried them instantly 100% but it definitely sped up the process. What I say; I think this is my favourite of the two products. I suppose it is a bit more messy than the mist in that the drops are a little greasy if you put on too much. However if you get the dosage right so that it just covers the nail and doesn’t over flow then you don’t get the extra greasiness. The drops really do work! My nails dry in an instant! I gave them a “heavy duty” test and found that if you were to apply a lot of pressure, then they do smudge slightly. However this is only when you really press down on the nail varnish and push it. However for me the product is perfect! No more unsightly nails because I can’t be bothered to wait until they are completely dry.

Now I have to admit the girl looks good and its great that she’s promoting healthy living and inspiring former couch potato's to workout, but she’s not a personal fitspiration of mine, because I think it’s a bit unrealistic to think that I would ever look like her as to me she has always been slim and not struggled with her weight like I have. Plus I like a little bit more muscle tone. However I know millions of girls who would do anything for a body such as hers, so for you, she has shared her workout regime in an attempt to show you how to get #abslikelabs

Anyways after hearing about the website I was disappointed to find that there are no videos as of yet, just daily suggested mini circuits to complete at home. By the sounds of it I think when the website launches some areas of it will only be accessible after paying a fee as she is currently offering 2 free 1 year subscriptions if you sign up now.

So as the workout are just written down on Twitter or Facebook I decided to make a few little pictures so they are easier to follow and look better. The workouts themselves are designed by her trainer Cecilia and are mini circuits to be completed at home. The idea is that you complete a different circuit each day so are getting your 30 mins of exercise. as they are circuits the idea is to perform them quickly and to get your heart rate up so you are burning calories! For people who already workout a lot these workout may not be intense enough so do them a few times through, they are great if you want a quick workout.

It think these workouts are great for those who are pushed for time and want to burn calories quickly, but as with all circuits you get out what you out in. So make sure you perform each move correctly and quickly. If you move quickly between each movement you will burn more calories. They aren’t the most technical or imaginative or circuits so for those who workout often they may not be ideal but give them ago and let me know how you get on.

Mondays Meals| Healthier Pizza| Tortilla Pizza

My original low cal pizza is even healthier than this version, however I am yet to perfect it, so you will just have to make do with one of my other healthy pizza recipes for the time being. Now along with cake, pizza is one of my absolute favs! If I had to live off one food for the rest of my life it would be pizza, in fact when I traveled Italy a few summers ago I had pizza everyday for 11 days… that’s a lot of pizza!

Now my love of pizza obviously doesn't fit in well with my new healthy lifestyle… damn you Dominos! So I have been trying to find alternatives to the usual high fat and high calories pizzas you get in your takeaway or supermarket. Many of you will already know of this option, but for those of you who don’t welcome to the Tortilla Pizza!

It’s a very simple, very quick recipe. But if you have a pizza craving and are trying to eat healthy, this recipe will satisfy your craving and still be kind to your waist line. All you need are tortillas, passata/ tomato puree, mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings.

Simply top your tortilla with your tomato base, then sprinkle mozzarella onto and then add your toppings. Place the tortilla pizza into the oven and bake for around 7-10 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the edges are browned.

Now although this isn't the healthiest of meals, it is still a million times more healthy than your local takeaway. Just look at the nutritional content of this pizza compared to the equivalent in Dominos. By making your own Tortilla Pizza which would be ready in half the time it takes for your takeaway pizza to arrive, you could save yourself 667 calories and 34.8g of fat.

Sports Injury: 4 Tips to Speed up the Recovery Process

Athletes are extremely prone to developing sports injuries since they put their muscles under a lot of stress during their frequent workouts. Sport injuries can result in lifelong damage to the affected area and very unpleasant pain during workouts. Use R.I.C.E.
